The town Pleven itself is situated in the central part of the Danubian plain (North-Central Bulgaria), past the Vit River. It is a regional administrative center of Pleven District and one of the most ecologically clean cities in Bulgaria. A green zone of 25 000 decares encloses Pleven, including parks and forests, which serve as a filter against the air pollution. Pleven has a rich history. It became widely known during the Liberation war (1878). Interesting to the visitors of the town are the Kailak fortress, the tumulus in the Skobelev park, the Pleven Epopee Panoramic Exhibition, the old bridge on the Vit river, many monuments. The beautiful area of Kailaka is close to Pleven. The most remarkable place in the city is the Pleven Epic 1877 Panorama, situated at the top of the hill. It is an original combination of artistic paintings, sculpture, and authentic articles and is announced worldwide as a unique place of culture.
This region distinguishes itself for its unique location and climate. The fact is, that the city is approximately at equal distances from the four major Bulgarian cities – Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv and Bourgas, which makes it the right place to buy a house. The rich history and the exquisite architecture both of Veliko Turnovo and the other towns from the region quickly attracted not only tourists, but investors too. The city of Veliko Turnovo is situated in the central part of Bulgaria at the foot of the Stara Planina mountain. It is spread on historic three hills and their surroundings – Tzarevetz, Trapezitza and Sveta Gora in the valley of the meandering Yantra river. It is an administrative centre and the capital of the second Bulgarian kingdom. The favourable climate, the abundance of cultural and historical monuments and the flourishing local crafts are all requisites favouring tourism. The medieval town is certainly the landmark of the city and one of the major tourist attractions. Spreading across the hills Tzarevetz, Trapezitza, Momina Krepost, Sveta Gora and the modern suburb Assenov, it clearly marks the two dominant fortresses of that time – the ones of Tzarevetz and Trapezitza, and the so-called New City, which was formed between them.
