This nice property of 8000 sq. m. is spread in a picturesque hilly area, just 5 km away from the magnificent sea resort of Albena, and 30 km to the north of the third biggest city in Bulgaria - Varna. The complex lies beneath a relatively high hill and is given particular charm by the nearby forest of Baltata, a part of which is a protected area. The resort's architecture resembles one of Walter Gropius' urban models as most of the hotels have a terraced structure letting in as much sun as possible. To the north, the coastline is steep, featuring yellow sandstone and limestone typical for the area. In fact, this kind of stone was used to build up the whole resort. Albena is an ecological resort. The rare combination of fresh air and crystal clear sea and mineral water, medicinal herbs, various natural products and well established Medical and Spa Centre makes the resort the perfect location for family holidays. There are three camping sites available in the area – "Albena", "International", and „Ekzotika", which offer great opportunities for holidaymakers with smaller budgets. The resort is also provided with a Congress Centre and offers all the activities, concerning preparation, organization and holding of congress and business events and it coordinates all related activities within the resort. A regular bus line, as well as routed taxis, to Balchik, Varna, the Golden Sands Resort and the St.St. Constantine and Elena Resort is available. Exciting boat trips are available upon request and are launched right from a small port located within the resort itself.

The city of Varna is the third largest city in Bulgaria and the largest city in the northeastern region. It is situated on the Black Sea, extending into the Bay of Varna. The city was built on a large, even 18 meter high terrace in the far northwestern curve of the bay which juts out 7 km into the mainland.
Varna International Airport provides maintenance of airplanes, passenger and cargo (over 10,000 tons per year) services. The duration of the flight to Sofia is about 40 minutes with two regular flights a day. |
